Hi, I'll be in SG on the Sat 24th, with approximately 6hrs on hand 7pm-1am. Wanted to do a quick night city tour. Was thinking of taking a trishaw through Chinatown to Clarke Quay and then a bumboat. In terms of cost would I be better off doing it on my own or through local tours? Also any helpful info. with regards to things to see and do. Thank you for any suggestions.
The trishaw ride around Chinatown usually starts in the evening and some rides take up to 4 hours. toursinsingapore.com/singapo... Bumboat rides last trip is approximately 10:30pm. rivercruise.com.sg/services.... You might be hard press for time unless you choose a shorter ride in chinatown.

Thanks for the link on the river cruise. So would you suggest I make my own trip rather than book tour? The trishaw ride would'nt cost much would it?

Being a local here, I have not tried the trishaw booking nor taken one. Perhaps, other members can advise.

Consider hiring a taxi for 3 or 4 hours. Take the train into the city and then bargain with a taxi driver . You will be surprised how much you get for30 or 40 . I have friends who do this from the cruise terminal.

Hi there Check out the URLs for info... newasia-singapore.com/tours_... singaporetaxitour.com/rates.... rivercruise.com.sg/services.... 1. 40 min River cruise under S$20. Check out nitescene @ Clark Quay * have a go @ The Singapore Flyer S$30 & take a river taxi (1-way) to Clark Quay S$12 nitescene. 2. Call the licensed Trishaw operators for rates. 3. Alternatively, you could book a taxi fr the Airport Tourist Desk to bring you around. Ask them for a price guide. Price will be negotiated at a flat rate for X no. of hours (sorry, no idea exactly but might be in the rage of S$40-S$50?). (Perhaps u cld book for an hour tour & negotiate directly with the cabbie for the extension? Not sure if it works but worth a try) HEADS UP :> Generally, Limo (Mercedes) Taxi drivers are competent English-speaking & friendly + u ride in comfort too. Hope it helps in some way to make your transit an fruitful & enjoyable one... Cheers RoxyCoxy

Do the trip on your own! Singapore's transport system is very efficient compared to its other Asian counterparts. Walking around Clarke Quay and the Esplanade is great at night. Go to Marina Bay SkyPark or to the Singapore Flyer to get an aerial view of the city (these two destinations are accessible by train). There is also the Songs of the Sea show in Sentosa Island (also accessible by train). The Night Safari is also great, though a bit far from the CBD. Hope this helps!

Hey there! Singapore is too small to have a proper tour around, you'd be better off exploring clarke quay on foot! Great way to start would be Esplanade to raffles places, boat quay and clarke quay. Your time though is too short to experience anything impactful, so the best recommendation when u plan to take a break is to get on a river taxi (bumboat) and enjoy the night scenery as you cool off. The trishaw ride is okay to try out too if you like, but with 6 hours, just one would do. Cheers!
