Have u heard of Little India? Plenty of food options there for indians.. anyway meals at foodcourts or hawker centres are affordable and delicious and can be found almost everywhere, even in Orchard Road. If u stick strictly to foodcourts or hawker fares u should budget around $30 pp per day. (though 2 pcs of plain roti prata will cost u only ~$2). For traveling if u stick to mrt and buses those are affordable too. Though if there are four of u taking a taxi may not be much more expensive than taking mrt or buses.
