Hello virtual travelers! We will be driving from Bucharest and would like to spend few days in the Bucegi mountain (castles, hiking etc). I did find few huts nearby, but havent been able to find out to which huts there are roads. Any suggestions? Anything from Sinaia, Busteni, Bran? I have been searching for maps but i have found only trail maps, such that i cant really place the trails close to any of these cities. thanks:)
You mean which chalets are accessible by car? With a normal car from Sinaia you can climb to "Poiana Stanei" and "Valea cu brazi" chalets. From Busteni (a resort just north of Sinaia) you can drive to "Gura Diham" chalet There's also a road along the Ialomita valley (in the mountains between Sinaia and Bran) that you can use to get to "Cheile Zanoagei", "Bolboci" and "Padina" chalets.

well, i looked at you links , they are helpful but is not the huts i had in mind; i meant something from the sort of "Cabana Omu", not pensions or hotels..i mean they are fine as well...probably we could give them a chance as well; thank you

If you want to get to the chalets located high up along the crest (Omu, Babele, Piatra Arsa, Miorita etc.) you'll most likely have to leave the car in Sinaia or Busteni and go up there on foot or by cable car.

Hello, I dear to suggest you Transfagaras Road (DN 7C), if you have enough time and you prefer a comfortable way up. Take notice that 7C is open for traffic only from June to October. Cheers!
