Am planning vacation into the Simferopol area. most likely 14016 days. Please advise to activities and places to view. Also is this to long for this area? also what is the cost for small apartment for same period of time. with Kitchen. I thank you.
there are tons of things to do in Crimea, it all depends what you are interested in. here are some suggestions: Bakhchysarai (40 min by a mini bus) to see the former Khan's residence, hike to Chafut Kale (the cave sity)and to sample Tatar cusine. you can also go to Sevastopol, visit Balaklava Bay and the "cold war museum;" rend a car to go to Yalta via the South Crimean Route, and stop on the way in Faros, Alupka (Vorontsov Palace), Livadia (Livadia Palace), Massandra (Massandra Place and Wine tour). as for place to stay, check http://www.travel2sevastopol.com/. I think it would be much convinient to rent an appartment in Yalta and Sevastopol, rather than Simferopol. happy thavels, Olya
