Bellagio to Siena

by sesparza Online Now May 29, 2011 at 10:42 PM

I am trying to get to Siena from Bellagio. I am traveling with my 84 year old mother and am trying to avoid taking 3 trains to get to Siena. Is there a shuttle or a private service that is reasonable that will take me to Siena. Need help. I will be in Bellagio on the 13 of June. Thanks so much SE

It is about 500km from Bellagio to Siena. At that distance you are not going to find a "reasonable" alternative to taking the train. If you are worried about the 10 minute transfer in Firenze know that there is at train from Firenze to Siena every hour, and as it's a regional train you don't need to reserve seats on it. So if you miss your connection just take the next one, one hour later. You can contact trenitalia to ask for assistance in the stations to make travel easier for you. Go to the website and look for "national helpline" at the bottom of the english versin.

Agreed. The best you can hope for is a private shuttle from Bellagio to Milan's Central train station, then a fast train to Florence, then a regional train (or bus) to Siena. Note that this will undoubtedly be pricey as well, as it is about 50 miles (83 kms) from Bellagio to Milan. However, you'll have to do something at the start, since there is no train station in Bellagio - you'll have to ferry over to Varenna or take a bus somewhere like to Lecco. Bill
