I just broke my digital camera the last night in Bangkok, I am in Koh Chang now and I can not find a place to buy a digital camera to save my life... Any ideas where can I find a camera store/s in Siem Reap? I would hate to be there without pictures... THANKS!!!
This has come up a few times over the years. The most recent reply on Thorn Tree Travel is "The Best place for camera gear in Siem Reap is the Siem Reap Thmei photo shop on Wat Bo road. It's a big Fuji shop round the corner from the traffic lights on Route 6 just east of the river bridge. They have a decent range of camera and some digital SLRs and lenses too." I couldn't find any camera shops on Koh Chang when I was there a couple of years ago. I hope this helps - good luck in finding a camera. There are some beautiful shots to be had in Siem Reap!

Can you use your phone to take pictures? My phone is as good as my first digital camera. It might help until you can get to the camera store.

If you are in Koh Chang maybe you have time for a trip to Trat , for sure you can purchase a camera there.

I personally find that guides are not particularly helpful for our travel style (they rush us) and we will only use them... more
