You will have to be much more specific. Try to spell the names correctly. Use google. Why don't you fill in your details on your VT page.

I believe that is a travel question. There are frequent questions such as this on VT and nobody has a problem with them.

Welcome to VT Peter. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out.

Peter, I'll just add that sometimes it's helpful to know where you are from, what time of the year you are traveling, how long you have to do it and what type of tour you are looking for. There may be visa and weather issues that you need to be aware of, and tours can range from backpacking treks to expensive, 5-star luxury trips.

I think that if you review this thread in conjunction with the OP's other interaction on another forum, there's a better than even chance that this is a troll

I don't think there's any reason to be rude to a new member. If you have nothing helpful to say, don't answer. This question in and of itself, does not smell like a troll. Plenty of similar questions have been asked on VT. If it turns out to be a troll, well then you won't have wasted any of your time answering (not directed at you Cathy). I'm sure that there have been "legitimate" new members who have not returned because of some of the rude responses they've received.

Whilst I agree that the original question is not troll-like in itself, the aggressive 'who are you, by the way' response certainly does not ring true.
Hawkhead had seen this person's similar conduct in a London forum and responded on that basis.

As the answer is directed at me, I will direct you to find his two other posts, one of which it was that promoted me to raise the kite flying flag.

I believe it was hawkhead who first said "who are you". And I believe that post was deleted as well.

Yes, it was I who said who are you and why not. I also reported it, in light of his previous posts. As CathyR says, I have said my piece and am bowing out now. If you want to continue, then you are on your own.

As the previous poster has said, you can easily get a taxi to take you from Shiraz to Persepolis (pronounced pers-'-poll-is by the way) and to wait for you or ask your hotel to arrange a car and driver for you. In fact, it's a better idea than taking a tour as you can leave the city very early before the day gets too hot. Persepolis is a very exposed and large site, with very little shade. Be sure to take a hat and some water with you. There is a cafe and small museum.

    Hi

There are 3 possible ways to get to Persepolis.

Hiring a private car and guide which is quite expensive, probably more than 100.

    2. Joining a public tour which probably costs 12 - 15.

    3. using a taxi to get to teh city of Marvdasht and then taking a taxi to Persepolis. If you are lucky, you may hitchhike for the second part.
Some tourists make it only with less than 10.

    Hope that can help.

    Regards,

    Mojtaba

@Irantraveler, you have been a VT member long enough to know by now that you are not allowed to advertise your services on this forum (since the weblink on your home page directs the reader to Pars Tours - surprise).
Your posting has been reported as forum abuse and will be deleted by VT staff.

Please be extreme cautious, if booking through IranianTours.com, the tour branch of IranianVisa.com.

I just did a journey to Iran booked through them. While we already encountered major irrgeularities before our trip (a sudden price increase of more than 30% one week before the start of our trip; flight bookings were made just three days ahead of our trip although we paid the full amount of the trip two months in advance), we also had to pay a second for one of our hotel stays because IranianTours.com had not paid anything to the hotel.

If you need further information, please do not hesitate to send me a PM.

    Regards,
    Christian
