Sunday Nights in Sheffield

by Meow_Sweetcheeks Online Now May 6, 2010 at 3:49 AM

Hey, I'm going to a gig in Sheffield on a Sunday and staying in the city centre and am wondering if there's anywhere open Sunday nights 11pm onwards for a drink/dance. Any suggestions would be welcome thanks!

Hi! Where's the gig and where are you staying in Sheffield city centre?
If it's Arena etc, it might take a while to get back to city centre on trams etc if it's a sell out concert. If it's O2 etc, you're in the city centre already.

Most hotels in Sheffield leave their bar open 'til late for residents.
What kind of bar/dancing/music are you looking for? Are you alone or with friends? There are a few late night supermarkets/shops that sell alcohol, that you could take back to your hotel room. (Late night on a Sunday being around 2100hrs!!!!)

Some traditional pubs/clubs out of the city centre may have 'shut ins' and stay open past licencing hours, though most will stick to Sunday laws (unless you're a regular customer).

There are a few casinos that open late/24 hours (Napoleons on Ecclesall Rd South, used to be a popular place after the pubs closed, but you need membership at least 24 hours before your visit - no music/dancing-but drinks and food)A new 24 hour casino has opened on Queens Road/Duchess Road-not far from train station-I'm not sure if you need membership
