Hi forum - not used this before so hopefully a good place to network before the trip in early November. There are 3 of us, all 28, all guys and all single so the first questions are: Where are the best places to go for nightlife? Where is the best scuba diving and is it best to book excursion including quad biking before or while you are there? It would be a bonus if there was a single group of ladies going at the same time for some fun and games, or even a similar bunch of guys for larger group quadding or scuba. p.s not sure where we are staying yet, definiteley naama bay, maybe the Noria or sharm sun resort.
Hi everyone, My partner and I are considering going to Egypt for Christmas this year and torn between hurghada and sharm. We've only been to egypt once (which was sharm last September) and very much enjoyed the shopping (fake bags, watches etc) and the nightlife. We were wondering how similar the two places are, if anyone can offer any advice - this would be greatly appreciated. Ps we are a couple in our mid 20's Thanks
Is November a good time to holiday in Sharm and can anyone recommend the Maritim Jolie Ville hotel resort. I know it has a good location next to the beach and Naama Bay.
After searching all tripadvisor sites etc.Just booked Savoy hotel in Sharm for new year trip with husband and 4 kids.Kids age from 17-8. now reading mixed reviews on rooms and food. Due to age of kids and numbers we have to have connecting rooms and liked the idea of soho square to wander round if any one bored.also wanted kids club and beach. are rooms so bad we have connecting garden view family rooms. can change hotel but it will cost. also booked half board as huge price jump for AI as 2 older children classed as adult s but not old enough to drink seems a waste to pay so much more. any advice thanks Daisy
Excuse my ignorance here but does anyone know if such trips are run from Sharm area? Daughter is desperate to see them in their natural habitat, so to speak? Thanks
Hi there We are trying to plan a half term holiday with 2 children - 9 and 7 during the holiday. I have a few questions. Firstly - what will the weather be like from the end of October through to the end of the first week in November roughly - have seen mixed reports and after this "summer" in the UK we are looking for definite sunshine! We have also narrowed out stay down to 4 hotels (we thinK!) based on good reviews and our budget - Sea Gardens Hotel, Coral Sea Resort, Three Corners Palmyra and the Happy Life Hotel in Dahab. We are looking for sun, relaxation, good pools for the kids (they arent interested in kids clubs so thats not so important), good beach with easy snorkelling, some evening entertainment, good food and the possibility to venture out of the hotel complex in the evenings. We also don't want to be the minority nationality in a hotel having experienced that before in Tunisia! Any thoughts would be welcomed before we commit to booking later this week Thanks in advance :)
My friend and I are looking to book a last min deal to Sharm last two weeks in Aug. We're two girls aged 26 and are wondering whether there are many young lively hotels with single people around the same age?

Hi, I am heading out to Sharm El Sheikh for the first time next week and was just wandering whether it is best to book day excursions to go to places like the Coloured Canyon, camel riding, snorkeling at Ras Mohammed and day trips to Luxor/Cairo online or at the hotel desk when we arrive? What is cheapest and most reliable?

I off to Sharm el Sheikh, and indeed Egypt, for the first time in early March. Can someone help me out with the best currency to take? I appreciate they have their own but wondered if GB£ or US$ would be as easily spent. I'm A/I so it's only money for incidentals and tips.
Hi there, My Fiancé and I are looking about for holidays in May, we was looking else where to Egypt because of the riots BUT both of us have wanted to visit Egypt for many of years but haven't yet! The red sea looks great for snorkling and I don't think any where else is going to compare. Has any one else just recently come back from Sharm? What's the situation at the moment with the riots and is it safe for us to go?

Hi, My girlfriend and I are looking for a sun holiday in January and really want to go to Egypt. We also want to see the Sphinx and Pyramids in Ciaro. With everything going on there, we are a little apprehensive as to how safe it will be. Especially with leaving a resort in Sharm El Sheikh and going to the Capital. Can anyone please shed some light and possibly alleviate our apprehension. Thanks, Shaun and Clare
Hi, does anyone know how much the taxi fare will be from the airport to Stella Di Mare Beach Hotel (at Na'ama Bay)? Also, is it better to change money at the airport or in the hotel?
Hi everyone, I'll be traveling to Sharm El Sheikh with my family on 7 December. I would like to know the safety and security situation there. I've just seen on the British Government website that "There is a high threat from terrorism throughout Egypt, including in Sinai. Security is tight throughout the country, especially in resort areas. There is a high risk of indiscriminate attacks including public places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers, including but not limited to resorts, hotels and restaurants." I'll appreciate it if someone who is actually there can advise me of the current situation. Many thanks in advance.
