My friend is travelling via Sharjah Airport from India to Istanbul and will have to wait for 12 hours there. It seems that a private room is quite expensive but shared room prices are reasonable at the Sharjah Airport Hotel. Anyone knows if my friend can just book a bed for 10 hours in a dorm?

Hi guys I stay in Sharjah, my relatives on their way from India to US have a transit visa for 4 days. They will be staying in my place. They have full luggage of 4 big bags and 2 cabin bags..... Coming home from airport is not a problem as we get big taxis at Dubai airport. I am worried do we get big taxis from home to airport back? Please help me with a suggestion

I will fly from Mumbai to istanbul on 14 th feb 2011...the flight from mumbai will land to sharjah airport at 6.30 and I have to wait for next flight to istanbul 20.30 that waste my time 14 hours at Shajah airport .so what I can do there..just wait my time would come to me.so Airarabia has a lounge there? I can join for free? is it ok ? but I think maybe there are many passenger waiting next flight there..I have ever heard many people complained the bad thing there ..

Hi, I have 2 days transit in Dubai and my next flight from Sharjah is before midnight. I want to leave Dubai by mid afternoon so that I won't get stuck in traffic jams and also to see a little bit of Sharjah. Is there any left luggage facility in Sharjah city for me to leave my bag while I do my wandering? Sharjah airport does not have this facility according to their website. Thanks!

I will probably be moving to Sharja soon. I like to wear Hawaiian shirts. Ihave heard that these are not cool in the UAE because they depict people and plants and that "only Allah" can make a flower. That is fine. I just want to know if I should bring my shirts or not?? I will for sure have many cultural hoops to jump thru when I get there, and I respect that and look forward to it. I will just discover them as I go about life. But for now, I have to know if I should pack my surfer shirts or not?

Hi guys, Presently I am staying in Sharjah on a Visit Visa. My Visit Visa states a validity of 30 days from the date of arrival but my friends told me that the actual validity is 60 days from the date of arrival. Anybody can clear this point? Thanks in advance.

We are arriving 0730 at Sharjah airport and departing 0130 next morning from Dubai airport. We are thinking of getting an inexpensive hotel for the day in December 2007 and found this hotel. But can't find any independent reviews or the hotel's web site. Does anyone have any personal experience on this hotel. Thanks DM Canada

I have a ten hour transit in Sharjah most of which will be during the day in Ramadan. Will the restaurant and refreshment facilities be available within the airport at that time? Another option is for us to come out of the airport and head into town for a few hours - again is there anywhere in either Sharjah or Dubai that will be serving food and refreshments? I recall the Irish Village used to be open during the day in Ramadan - is that still the case.

Hi I am working for an IT company in chennai india and coming to sharjah from chennai soon. I am having lot of software materials in my computer which are must for my work in sharjah. Can I bring my PC ( Only CPU ) to sharjah?. Will customs allow carrying a PC to sharjah? OR Can I bring my motherboard + Harddisk atleast? Pls help.. Whom I have to call and confirm this?
