i will be attending a meeting in sharjah and my male friend will be coming with me since i dont want to travel alone. will we get arrested if we stay in the same room?
Well usually hotels do not ask for marriage certificate from couples, since not all couples carry their marriage certificate with themself! If the hotel rents you the room then it means they have already assumed that you are married, if not then you have to move to another hotel that allows you to rent a room. Since you both would have a temporary visa then I think it should work fine.
