I just responded a Yes. However, no offence but could we pick somewhere a bit cheaper and close to metro stop? It's a bit expensive for me on a student budget, and no convenient public transportation. :(

Cecilia, that is great... but for your experience, do you think I will be ok at 8 pm coming that day from Barcelona? I think I will be so tired. If you guys don't mind I prefer to have dinner on Tuesday the 24th, only if you guys can, otherwise I will try to do my best...

Sounds ok to me. :) If anyone feels like Xinjiang food instead, there's a good Xinjiang restaurant (Qiu Ci Gu Li) at the corner of Xiangyang Nanlu and Fuxing Zhonglu, about 10 mins walking distance from Shaanxi Nanlu metro stop (exit no.1, line 1). Or for improved Chinese cuisine (no MSG!), Heaven on Earth near Henan Zhonglu metro stop (on Nanjing Lu pedestrian street, line 2) would be a good choice. Dinner at either should cost no more than 50 RMB/person, depending on how many people are turning up. I could make reservations if necessary. In any case, if any traveller just wants to meet me sometime in Shanghai (not necessarily at the meet-up), just drop me a VTMail.

I will still be organizing the dinner on Monday night, as I won't be available Tuesday or Thursday. And another VT'er is leaving on Wednesday. Hope you guys have fun :-)

Hi! I do not care about the restaurant, you decide. On Monday I will try to have dinner with you guys, I hope I will be ok. Hihi! Sorry, I won't be able to make the meeting as I've just got a last-minute request from a friend to pick up his girlfriend from the airport as he had some urgent stuff pop up at work. If anyone is interested in meeting up with me in Shanghai, please reply to me on VTMail and tell me what dates you'll be in Shanghai, and I'll try to arrange something for just both of us... I think it's a bit hard to try to accommodate everyone together. I'll be free this Tue (24/10) and Thu (25/10) for dinner.
