We only have on night in Hong Kong, on a Saturday in July, and was wondering if you can buy the traditional women's embroidered dresses and blouses at the temple street night market? We are getting to hkg pretty late, 5:30pm, and with checking into our hotel and getting into the city I am estimating we won't get to the market till 7:30 or 8.

I am planning a 16 day trip in Thailand. I will start in Bangkok and head towards south to Khao Sok National Park. My final destination will be koh samui to relax and enjoy my last couple of days.
My question:
I want to have a few stops between Bangkok and Khao Sok National Park. What would u recommend me? I want to experience some local stuff, nature, hiking, beaches, motorcycling.
I take into consideration to stop at Phetchaburi and Hua Hin. What u guys can recommend me?

Hi, me and my husband would like to travelling to shenzen from macau on middle of may 2013. Is there still available for voa for indonesian passport? I've heard that voa is applicable only for group not for individual.. Anyone can help? Thankyou
Looking at my options for travel methods. We are flying into HKG from Canada and staying at the YMCA Salisbury (Kowloon). If we want to travel to Bejing in 1 day (not overnight train, and yes we'll have our visas), is it easy enough to get some sort of shuttle from our hotel to either Guarngzhou aripoort or Shenzhen airport? The cost seems to be cheaper than flying from HKG, by a few bucks or more, maybe. I looked for a bullet train but we'd still have to get to Shenzhen for that anyway and I'm not sure how reliable they are.We are also going to spend a couple days in Pingyao (via Taiyuan airport), 3 or 4 nights in Zhangjiajie (either direct or through Changsha?), and either an afternoon or max 1 night in Xi'an, and we're travelling by air (preferred) or train (not overnight though). So, here's me trying to juggle the routing around, see what flows better. Suggestions? Also, I need clarification on how traveling from Kowloon to mainland China works, with respect to either Guranzhou airport or Shenzhen (which is easier, less complicated, cheaper?). Thanks!
Doing some research on hotelswith a view of Victoria Harbour from the Kowloon side. The lowest price hotel with a ROOM with a harbour view is the YMCA Salisbury, and I've booked it but they tell me that most of their 'partial harbour view' rooms will be under renovation while I'm there in September thus I'll likely have no view at all BUT what about other hotels? I don't wish to pay higher than the Salisbury however I thought maybe there is a hotel on Kowloon side that has a rooftop cafe or an observatory that we can rent the room (no view from the room) and is cheap or cheaper but you can still get a nice slice of the view if you go up to the roof and hang for a while? I don't want a bar or lounge, just an observation deck or rooftop cafe/restaurant I can take photos from at sunset/night. Suggestions?

Hi Could someone help me to identify how far the Horizon suite actaully is from Sha Tin KCR. I am looking to stay for 3 weeks but have friends in Tai Po/Fanling, therefore will probably be further in the NT some nights. 1/ Will it be difficult to get on the KCR and then change to Taxi, and how much will the taxi be? 2/ I know there is the Ma On Shan rail system which change at Tai Wai. Does anyone know how far is the Ma On Shan station from the Horizon hotel? How much is the train each way roughly? 3/ Are there any supermarkets neat the hotel 4/ Does anyone know which are the best floors as we don't want to stay in empty floors. Thank you your help
I've read the questions and answers regarding Horizon Suite Hotel with interest and found most of it encouraging. We're planning a lengthy stay come January and were wondering why the units get so cold (beyond the draft)? Do they have no heaters attached to air conditioning units in the rooms? Also, if the beds are that hard, is there a shop nearby that sells those foam bed cushions? And while I'm at it, are bed and bath linens provided, how well equipped are the kitchens,how varied is the cuisine at the local market, and, since we'll be bringing an infant, how "kid-friendly" is the area? My family and I are going to Hong Kong in July for a month, two adults and two kids, and are looking for a place to stay, the problem is with having the four of us and we would like to stay in one room as opposed to two separate rooms. Someone told me about Horizon Suite Hotels, has anyone stayed there and is it convenient? Which floor/rooms are the best regarding lower noise levels, convenience to amenities etc. What rates have your paid? Would appreciate any response. Thanks in advance.

Now that you've been there another few weeks, what do you think? I am concerned a bit about it being so far out from HK/Kowloon not only for the commute but for language reasons also. No Cantonese here-yet. Any problems? What floor r u on? How much more for a harbor view? Planning on your entire year there? Thanks for any help. I often travel by rail between Fan Ling and Tsen Wan. What is there to see if I wish to ramble around there? Anything cultural, beautiful, or any places with good bargains? Any great parks or sports clubs? And naturally, any places where a foreigner might meet up with some local ladies??? Thank!
