We will charter a catamaran with a skipper in early february for a week in Seychelles? I'm wondering if we shall hire a cook also. We are only two persons but we don't want to prepare food and everything for each meal? Could it be a good opportunity to taste food cooked by a local? Does the cook only cook or help as a deckman, etc also?
On the other hand, would our privacy be ruined?
Do sailors (charterers) usually have their lunch/dinner on the shore in a restaurant? Or is it common to have all meals on board?
I sailed many times in the Mediterranean Sea and all the time we had breakfast and lunch on board and dinner in a restaurant. There we didn't need a cook for sure.
