We are renting a car to drive from Seward to Homer in mid July. It is going to be213. for the one way trip. we are going to visit friends in Homer. That sure seems expensive. It is with Hertz. I understand that there is a van you can take but it is a passeneger van and will probably be full and not very comfortable for the fairly long drive. Does anyone have any other suggestions? thanks for your help.
As far as I know Homer Stage Line is the way to go. I believe from Seward to Homer would run about50 per person. It would be a comfortable trip and they are a great company.A more daring but inexpensive way is to thumb a ride which is fairly common up here. You might also post a free ad in the Homer & Seward newspapers asking for a ride and splitting gas.
