San Bernado train station

by chrisdScotland Online Now May 5, 2012 at 8:28 AM

I have just found out that the train we intend taking from Malaga to Seville will arrive at San Bernado station not Santa Justa. I might be not looking hard enough but I can't see anything that looks like rail lines where they say it should be on Google Earth (Calle del Doctor Ordóñez de la Barrera, Sevilla 41004) Can anyone help?

Some trains from Malaga to Sevilla stop at both "San Bernardo" and "Santa Justa" stations. Others only at Santa Justa. So in your case you can choose where you get of. Pick the stop most convenient for you. San Bernardo has the advantage of also being on Sevillas metro line 1. The station is underground, which is why you don't see it on google maps.

As KVB has indicated and I recently found on my April and May trip to Spain that the train stops at both stations. San Bernado is about 5-10 kms from town and has very limited services. It was the last stop before the train arrived at Santa Justa. I think you will be better off taking your exit at Santa Justa station which has good connections via local buses to the rest of Seville.

no i think what KVB was saying and agree been there many times is that San Bernardo has the metro line 1 direct to city underground. as well, I will add terminal for Cercanias or suburbian trains C-1, C-4 , and C-5 as well as the line T1 of the tramway. San Bernardo is ok. Hope it helps the Original poster.

Thank - you one and all. Now have worked out that we can just turn the corner from the station and catch the C4 bus to our hotel.

IS THIS INFO IN MY BOOK NOT CORRECT THEN? Seville has an extensive bus network, covering all barrios around the city. Most buses leave either from Puerta de Jerez (south of the centre) or from Plaza Ponce de Leon (east). The circular buses, C3 and C4, follow the ring road around the old city centre. One small bus takes a circular route inside the centre, the C5.

ahh maybe they call thet buses around the periphery circular as in C, when in Madrid C stands for cercanias trains. I been from Madrid never call a bus a C thus ::)

It's a bit confusing that Sevilla has a Suburban railway line called "C-4" which also makes a circle...

nothing to do with circle, but circular means they turn around town on the periphery and then come in to inner city. Thats circular.

Circular means the bus runs round the city on a particular route, either in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction, continually. English is my first language. Thanks to all I think I have enough info now.
