hi interesting to find out what is better place to stay for the mostly beach time: Sevastopol' or Balaklava. any advise is welcome :-)
We recently stayed in Balaklava and I wished we had stayed in Sevastopol as everything we wanted to do was there or had bus connections from there, plus our hotel was right across from a very loud gravel mine. There are no real beaches to speak of in the harbor, there are boats that go out to Gold and Silver beaches. I have a picture of the beach in the harbor on my Sevastopol page since I couldn't find a listing for Balaklava, we didn't go out to Gold or Silver. I didn't see any real beaches in Sevastopol either, perhaps they are located away from the city center?
