Is it a good idea to rent a bike in Setubal to see the main sightseeings? Anyone know a good address to rent a bike in Setubal (prices)? I am going to stay for a few days in Setubal, and would also like to visit the Serra da Arrábida. Geetings Aswin
Setubal is flat enough for one to bike around at Make sure you pay a visit to the Bom Jesus church, one of the country's oldest and forerunner of Portugal's own unique Manueline architecture, as well as visiting the fishing village of Sesimbra which has some really good seafood restaurants in that area and this little seaside village far smaller than Setubal and less congested From either places you can take the bus or taxi to the Arrabida Peninsula nature reserve

You don't say when you are coming, but if it's August or begining of September there are several options. First the city center is small you can walk around it, but there's a touristic train from 9am to 7pm. You can take the ferry to Troia and, if you are lucky, see dolphins along the way http://www.atlanticferries.pt/. To go to Arrábida there's an open roof Bus (ends on September 17) that departs from Luisa Todi Av (in front of Hotel Esperança) at 10am.
