    • Tavira v Ferragudo v Albufeira

      Tavira Sep 10, 2015 at 1:40 AM

we stayed in Ferragudo August 2015 and found it charming with some very good quality restaurants

but found it a little too quiet for our 3 teenage children

Albufeira the year before but found that too touristy and loud in places
Hoping that tavira is somewhere in the miiddle
      Any opinions really appreciated

    • connections between Boston to Lisbon( beginning of May 2016)

      Lisbon Sep 29, 2015 at 5:26 PM

American flies thru Philadelphia. United flies thru Newark
I have always flown through international airports, and never connected in the states.
      1. Which airport is easier to navigate?
      2. Does my luggage check through, or do I need to retrieve it after the 1st flight and then check it to the 2nd leg?
      3. Is 2 hours enough to connect thru both these airports? or should I aim for 3 hours to be safe?
      4. Any pros/cons to either airport/airlines re: being on time. or whatever.

Lisbon 5 to 6 days what are the must sees in and around?

      Lisbon Sep 30, 2015 at 1:07 PM

We will be arriving mid morning Lisbon mid November and will have 5 1/2 days further to explore.
Please provide a guide to pack the most in our short stay.

      1) What are must sees in the city itself?
      2) What destinations outside the city are must visits and how long do we require in each?
      3) Do you recommend staying the night at any of these outlying areas?
      4) Any other tips you can offer

      Thank You

    • Bike hire Sesimbra

by franny5 Online Now Jun 23, 2014 at 4:13 AM

I want to hire a quality road bike or mountain bike from 12 July to 23rd July.

Bike Iberia will hire me a bike OK but they need to deliver to a hotel or an address available 9am - 5pm 'there must be a Front Desk open all day long during normal business hours.' they dont deliver to a personal address (I am staying in rented accomodation at a personal address).

Is there anywhere in Sesimbra that I can use eg. hotel or shop address as a delivery and pick up address?

Or is there anywhere else that I can hire from?

      Thank you

      Snorkeling in Sesimbra

by annase Online Now May 29, 2012 at 10:40 AM

Does anyone know what's snorkeling like in Sesimbra? I suspect the water's rather cool, what about the visibility? Anything interesting there to see underneath the surface?

      Scuba Diving

by DSwede Online Now Aug 15, 2011 at 4:31 AM

I've been told that the diving is good in and around Sesimbra.

Since I'll be working in Sines for a couple days before coming up to Lisbon, I figured it was perfect to stop in Sesimbra.

If anyone has any recommendations for diving agencies, I'd appreciate it. I'm traveling light so do not have any of my equipment with me.
