Hi all, I just had a wonderful time in Seefeld. so good that we want to go back and spend late nov and early dec there. will be there from 22 nov till 13 dec. We reached seefeld via salzburg but this time we will be flying in from munich. Know i have to take an S-bahn from the airport to Munich Hbf and from there train to seefeld. wondering if anyone knows the train ticket (return) for 2 adults . i went into de bahn website in english but couldn't get the price. not very good at this. is it cheaper to buy a return or no difference and do i need to make reservations. Can i go on the day itself to the train station and buy my tickets?i dont know how it is going to be like in the skiing season. assume it will be busy. i have never had to make reservations on trains before but i dont know. would appreciate help from anyone on any tips re transport from munich to seefeld.
I am not a skier but thinking of visiting Seefeld in October. What would the weather be like? And would it be good and easy to hike around the area? Would supermarkeets and public transport be running or would it be a ghost town?
We are arriving about 14.50 January 22nd. How much is it to transfer to seefeld please. 2 adults. Thanks
I stayed at the Hotel Philippe in 1980 on a family holiday. My mother exchanged christmas cards with the family owners for years after. I also recall the youngest son showing me how to flatten coins on the train track at the back of the Hotel. Can anyone tell me what it is now called, and any other information relating to the family that ran it back then.
Hi, i`m travelling to Austria on the 20th january-29th january, with my husband and daughter. We`re flying to munich airport, and planning on staying 7 nights in a ski resort and 2 back in munich so not to have to travel for hours to get back to the airport the day we are leaving.I`ve been advised Seefeld and Neustift, but i`m confused between the 2. We`re a young family i`m just gone 26, my husband is 31 and our daughter is 6 so we`re looking for a nice family resort with plenty to do as we are not skiers, (but will probably give it a go), nice shops, good pubs, plenty of snow in the village, so that we don`t end up being bored. I was very interested in St. Anton but was advised not to go as it wouldn`t be suitable for families because it`s too lively. as i said we don`t mind livelyness as long as it`s not unsuitable to bring a child. Has anybody got any good suggestions? Another option i was told to take is to wait last minute to see if there will be snow at resorts like Kitzbuhel or Zell am See. Kitzbuhel would be ideal for us but i`m afraid there won`t be snow! Thanks!
I fly to Munich with my wife on 10 2/07 and i may consider traveling on to Seefeld can anybody recomend a coach or taxi firm Kind Regards, Thomas Muirhead.
Hi, I will go to Seefeld, Austria this winter, flying to Innsbruck. I am not planning in getting a car – I’ll simply ride the ski buss. My return flight takes off at 6:30 AM. I was wondering if there is any way to get from Seefeld back to the airport so early in the morning. If not, I will have to book a room in Innsbruck for the last night. Also, can anyone recommend me a place where to stay in Seefeld? Thanks!
I stayed in this hotel about 30 years ago. All I can remember is that it was on by the railway line. Does this hotel still exist??
