Will b in Seattle-but only for half a day--is there somewhere near the monorail that we can leave our luggage--thank you.
What about this? http://www.kensbaggage.com/ Amtrak provides storage, but you would have to actually take a trip with them.

The monorail goes from a shopping center at one end to the Seattle Center at the other. Seattle Center has a number of different facilities on it, such as Experience Music / Science Fiction Museum, Pacific Science Center, and various others. The shopping center at the other end is a fairly typical shopping center with a bunch of stores. Neither of those two places are particularly well equipped to deal with luggage storage. Depending on the size and shape of the item you wish to store, and which museum you are talking about, you might get one of the museums at the Seattle center to take something as part of the "coat check" system, but some of the places there don't have any such system. If you are arriving or departing on Amtrak then storage of checked items there is a possibility, but the station is on the other side of downtown from the nearest monorail station. If you are arriving and departing at the SeaTac airport, keep in mind the airport is quite far south of downtown Seattle (in another city actually) and therefore a fair portion of your half a day may be consumed getting to and from the airport. The baggage storage solution listed above would work for that, though as they are located at the airport.

There are two Seattle cruise ship piers. One of those is right in downtown Seattle, while the other is several miles north of Seattle. "Getting to Seattle for Cruise Ships" - Multi-Choice Tip by glabah "Pier 91 Cruise Ship Terminal" - Magnolia Bluff Transportation Tip by glabah It seems to me that the cruise ship companies should have some sort of luggage storage arrangements available at their terminals for this very situation, so I would start with your cruise ship company to see what they have to offer. If you are at the one that is somewhat north of Seattle you will have to leave enough time to get there and back before going off to the airport.
