I'm planning to travel in Switzerland during the 1st-2nd week of June.
And at the end of the itinerary, I have two full-days to trip to the Eastern part of Switzerland and wondering which areas can be included for the best trip.
I planning to spend 4 nights in Interlaken to travel around the nearby mountains and cities, and then move to Zurich or Scuol to visit the Eastern part (for 2 nights) and then have to go back to Zurich to take a flight to my country.
Mainfeld is at the top of my wish list, but other than this, I couldn't make up my mind.
I'm interested in Appenzell and Scuol (+ Guarda) but I don't know I have enough time to visit both.
So could you recommend between Appenzell and Scuol (+Guarda) in terms of the beauty and the uniqueness of the town? Which one has more things to see and do?
(Please don't think about the thermal baths, since I will visit Bad-Ragaz or Leuikerbad if I can't go to Scuol.)
Here are the things I've thought about:
- very traditional village, cheese, beer, cow.. etc.
- close to Zurich
- scraffiti houses (I was hooked by this feature!)
- far from Zurich
I'll wait for the kind replies from you guys!
Thank you! :)
