When is the small shop open to the left of the War Memorial by the large willow tree? Whenever I have been there it hasn't been open. You can see it in the photos of Assmannshausen and the one taken by Matim. It is by the church on Niederwaldstrasse and just 100 meters north on the corner of Lorcher Strasse and Dreikoenighsstrasse. The next time anyone is there before me, please take a look and post the answer. Thank you in advance.
How do you buy tickets for the Public Bus System in Bad Reichenhall? How much do they cost? I may be answering my on question - will the Bayern Ticket I'll be using to get there - work with Public transit there, too? dah - I know - so unsure about that ticket ~
What is easiest travel choice from Berlin to Amsterdam for a first time traveler who only speaks English (my nephew, aged 24 American)? By bus or train is preferred, reasonably priced, and he'd like to leave tomorrow, 27 April. I checked a few places and most seemed around 100€ round trip, by bus, but as I understood you might have to change buses during the trip. I've lived in Germany several years but have never routed through the Netherlands except by plane, so I am unsure how to direct him. Thanks a lot for whatever help or suggestions you can provide!
I am visiting Kiel via cruise ship on Thursday May 21 and would like to visit the Neuengamme Concentration Camp. Can anyone tell me how to get there via public transportation or do I need to rent a car? Is driving there easy to maneuver? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Hi, my friend and I (2 of us) would like to take a train from Munich to Prague. We are interested in the train departing at 4.55am on 13 June and arriving in Prague at 10.44 am. May I know if this train is covered by the Bayern-Bohmen ticket? And our lodging is near Munich Harass station, so we have to take a train to Munchen Hbf. Does this ticket cover that as well? Last question, can we purchase the ticket from the vending machine in either Harass or Marienplatz station? Thanks!
I will be traveling from Haslach to Freudenstadt to Mummelsee to Baden-Baden. My question is where is the bus stop to get off at Mummelsee for bus #12 and from where I will get bus 245 for Baden-Baden?. I get 1 hr to rest at lake between two buses. How much distance between the lake and bus stop? also will my Konus card valid for this excursion?
I (and two friends) will be staying for 5 days in a budget hotel on Stresemannstrasse in Altona Bahrenfeld. On most days, I think we travel into the city centre by bus, using the M3 Metrobus. Question: how do we buy our HVV Tageskarten? Is there any ticket-automat at 'Bushaltestelle Schützenstraße (Mitte)'? Are there ticket-machines on board Metrobuses? Will it upset the other passengers and the driver if we buy our Tageskarten from the driver...of what is supposed to be a high-speed bus service?
I am assuming that HVV tickets (as is the case in other cites) are now date&time-stamped at the point of issue, so you can't buy tickets ahead e.g. a day in advance.
Note that because I can't guarantee that the three of us will stay together all the time, I do not want to buy HVV Gruppenkarten.
I was in Hamburg last month and ate dinner on the waterfront. The restaurant had a cake, something like Laboersahntorte. It was unbelievable and I would like to find a recipe. Problem is nothing comes up when I search it, so I'm guessing I'm missing part of the name. It had a marzipan covering, used like some people use fondant. Sound familiar to anyone?
Hi, we will be arriving in Berlin early in the morning but our host won't be able to meet us till the afternoon. We were intending to go for the free walking tour (meeting point at Brandenburg Gate) before we meet our host. Are there any safe lockers that we can store our travel backpacks near Brandenburg Gate? I read that Friedrichstrasse station has lockers to store luggages, but are they big enough for a normal travel backpack? Thanks!
Any suggestions of what is safe to visit if I wanna escape a 6hours wait at the airport? I'm not sure it's safe to run to see anything in town and be back for my flight... I arrive at 3 this afternoon and have to board my flight around 9pm! Thanks!
Does anyone know if you can purchase a Bayern-Ticket and display it on your phone through Handy Ticket in the DB Navigator app? The DB website is ambiguous; it says you can in one section, but in another section, it only lists a handful of Länder-Tickets compatible with Handy Ticket, not including the Bayern-Ticket. I did a dry run, and it appears you can purchase the ticket though the app, but of course I didn't actually complete the transaction. Any insights appreciated.
"Hi! I'm going from Barcelona to Herrnhut next week, I'm arriving to Dresden and then I'm going to take a train to Löbau train station. I want to know if I can go walking from Löbau train station to Herrnhut or if I should take a bus? If I should take a bus, where can I buy the tickets and how much is it? I'm actually going to Volksbadcamp at Ruppersdorf.Thank you!"
AND TOO: i would like to know where I can find grocery stores at Herrnhut or Ruppersdorf. Thanks!
I would appreciate some advice regarding parking in the city centre. We will be there for 3 days and will need to park our car for this period. We do not plan on using our car during our stay as we will use public transport if needed.
So far the railway station looks like the best option at 6 euros for 24 hours. I just wondered if there were any other options?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
