Hi, we will be landing in Olbia (July 3rd) and will go around the island spending a few days in different spots. My question is can we rent a car at Olbia airport (Jul. 3rd) and bring it back at Alghero airport (July 13th) since we will be leaving from Alghero?? Or do I have to pick-up and return the car at the same location?? Any recommendations on car rental companies? Thanks!
This should not be a problem - most car hire companies in Italy have the facility for picking up at one airport then dropping at another. However, you may find there are additional costs involved.

I'm always lazy with car hire and tend to just go for the big names. I know AVIS have depots at Olbia Airport and Alghero Airport, and you can pick up at one point and drop at another. I'm sure there are cheaper operators than AVIS, but,I always feel (rightly or wrongly) that as long as you use a known brand, you do have pretty good back up if you need it.
