Can anyone recommend a beach in Sarasota or down the I-75 from Sarasota to Naples, Fl ? We'll be driving from Orlando to Naples and want to spend the day exposing 'milk boatil' white Scottish hides to some rays. If we do all the way to Naples the day will be mostly done, so want to break the journey 2 hours or so drive from Orlando. Locations for handy for getting back on the I-75 with adjacent (metered) parking most welcome... Thanks for any suggestions Paul
The beaches on Siesta Key are quite good with restaurants near by. Also, just south of St Petersburg there is a very nice beach that gets a lot of local traffic.

Two hours will be about half. Lovers Key State Park has a two mile long beach is accessible by boardwalk or tram and is popular for shelling, swimming, picnicking, and sunbathing. Located on County Road 865 between Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach in Lee County. It isn't directly off I-75 - you get off around Fort Myers. I don't think there is a parking fee. A car with up to 8 people costs8.00 to enter

yes Siesta key is a good advise to go, and a bit up the DeSoto National park off the tip of St Pete Beach is very nice, and top rated area Cheers
