Will be taking train or bus from Dubrovnik to Sarajevo in July. Only have 2 nights there. Problem is i would also like to look around Mostar. Does anyone know, if you get off at Mostar and catch later bus/train to Sarajevo, is there anywhere to leave your luggage for a few hours. Failing that what it be nicer to spend 1 night in each place or stay with the current plan of 2 in Sarajevo. Your thoughts would be welcome. Thanks

Check past threads on Bosnia forum; Dubrovnik to Sarajevo route was discussed often. Anyway, you can cover essential Mostar sights in few hours (storic center around the rebuilt old bridge is rather tiny) and according to the bus schedule you'd even have time for a lunch. libertasdubrovnik.hr/voznire... I'm not sure about luggage facilities at Mostar bus station, but I believe staff will gladly help you store it for few hours.

Oh well.... wouldn't be Cira dismounted after some idiot foreign "advisors" suggested Tito doing it in mid-70s we would have now Dubrovnik-Sarajevo-Uzice-Beograd unique narrow gauge railway and involved countries could attract many thousand people just with that Bosna-Bahn alone. Instead, all what we have now is Srgan-8 left and only rarely do the trains cross the border... and nothing south of Visegrad. :( Unless Kusturica spends more for re-building Cira.

Yes, you can. I did this route last year. You can get a bus to Mostar from Dubrovnik (takes about 2.5 hours) and then get the bus from Mostar to Sarajevo (another 2.5 hours). Mostar IS on the way to Sarajevo from Dubrovnik but I think you will have to get two singles. From what I remember, you can store luggage at the bus station. However, Staying a night in Mostar wouldn't hurt. The town is lovely first thing in the morning.
