hello, I am wondering which part of the sarajevo is best part to stay for tourist. I like to see the history(not the museums but surronding old buildings and stuff) and I like to be in the center of the coffee and bars. any suggestion? by the way we are 3 turkish people.

I second that - it's in an excellent location, well run and with very friendly owners. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the main square of the old town, the heart of Sarajevo. The city is really very compact, you can walk just about any where but if you want to explore further afield there are trams and taxis just at the end of the street. Do find a little time for the main museum at least, "Those strange stones" - Sarajevo Things to Do Tip by TheWanderingCamel Its survival and restoration is an important part of the city's story. I'm sure you'll have a great time - Sarajevo's a wonderful city.

We saw many places to stay in/and around old town, Bascarsija is called. Everything what you like is there, many great little places with coffee and bars as well and good atmosphere.

I strongly recommend the web site visitsarajevo.ba/sightseeing... where youa are really able to find out the most about Sarajevo, especially when it comes to history, attractions, etc.
