Sapporo to Kotan Village (near Lake Akan)

I'm interested in going to the Ainu Kotan Village that's near Lake Akan from Sapporo. Could you tell me how to do so via train or bus. If there's a website that includes schedules and prices, please let me know.

A quick search lead me to this page: lake-akan.com/en/access/inde... You can take the train to Kushiro and from there take a bus. This map is of Akanko, the town where the Kotan Village is in. It's D. lake-akan.com/en/map/img/map... As for the bus, they also have information, albeit a year old now, it is still valid from the Japanese website: lake-akan.com/en/access/akan... -- English Info http://www.akanbus.co.jp/index.html -- good for info on the Akan Bus and how to look for it. Just memorize the top left corner and you shouldn't have much of a problem.
