cheap places to stay in tomamu ski area

hello, i am going to tomamu to do some snowboarding. but if i were to get a room at one of the five major hotels there, it is very expensive. are their any other places to stay at tomamu outside of the five major hotels (like any local small ryoukans, etc.)? thanks, chuck
