I was wondering if I should be booking a homestay in Sapa prior to getting there, or it'll be easy to find a tour agency to book once I'm there? Also, what's the recommended no. days of stay in Sapa? Thanks in advance!
I stayed for 3 nigths on a hotel, but I can say that you could stay at least 3 or 4 full days because there are some interesting hikes in the area.

Most homestays are prearranged in connection with a tour from Hanoi, but I'm sure you could do it locally too. I use this Hanoi travel agent: en.vietnamtour.com.vn/tour/s...

U should contact with a travel company and book a tour that includes homestay accommodation. The tour company will help you to have a great preparation such as food, mattress for sleeping, blankets etc and u also could easy talking with the host through tour guides' help. Have fun
