I'm looking for somewhere to retire that isn't as busy as the obvious tourist areas does Sao martinho have any golf?
Not far from São Martinho do Porto, closer to Peniche and Óbidos there are several golf resorts, here you have info and locations rt-oeste.pt/custompages/show.... These beaches are mainly frequented by portuguese in the summer (July to August) the rest of the year it's very calm.

I don't remember any golf camp near S.Martinho. But near Óbidos, there are some. I post here one, that is very used by English tourists, quite difficult because the wind. It's a quiet zone, and not far from the mid-size City "Caldas da Raínha". It's a nice place. Besides the apartment, I think they have small individual houses too. praia-del-rey.com/en/the-gol...
