I was in Santiago a couple of months ago. I never took drum lessons but I can recommend you a nice house with a wonderful family, have a look in geocities.com/hospedajesanti...
You can ask them if they know a good drum teacher, the family has a lot of contacts in the city and I'm sure they can help you to book the lessons.

    Hi!

I have an excellent dance teacher in Santiago,
for more than two years now. His name is Dalvis and his phone number
is 629924 and you should ask for him (neighbours phone).
    He speaks English well.
I know also the professor of percussion in Santiago,
but I will just have to find his contact details among my papers.
He also makes and sells drums.

Have fun! I will be going there soon as well ;-)

    Hi terrorbarbie!

I'll be in Cuba for 4 weeks from the 2th feb. I'd like to have at least a few drumn lessons (either set or percussion). You mention the professor. Is it possible to dig out your contact information from the stacks? I'd like to buy some drumns as well.

    Yours Thomas (Denmark)
