We are visiting Santander next week for 4 days and looking for advice on what to see. We will have a car so travelling to the surrounding area is not a problem. Thanks for your Help Karen
Santander is a small nice costal city. I studied aboard there in 1998 and went back to visit a few years ago. There isn't much to do in Santander but go to the beach and relax. There's a nice university on the pennisula, but you can't go in if you are not a student. I would recommend talking to a student there and ask to take you on a tour of the inside if you can. Its really nice and full of history. Last time I asked a student and he took us through the back doors. There's a couple of nice buildings - the casino and the theater. The central of town is the Postal Building. Great ice cream place just a little walk from the postal building. More of a small city where you can just sit at the cafe, enjoy a cup of coffee and take it easy.
