Where do you go to get to Catalina Is?
Hi...there are several options. In summer you can go from Marina Del Rey or Long Beach. At other times Long Beach is the main departure point.

You can catch ferry service from San Pedro, Long Beach or Dana Point .It’s about an hour trip

There are several locations you can depart from along the Southern California Coast. The shortest distance by boat would be Long Beach. Here is the link to my travel page on Catalina. Click on transportation tips for more info.

The Catalina Express is a faster boat. There is a ferry that takes quite a long time but probably less expensive. Hope you enjoy your visit to Catalina. It's a great place to spend the day!
