I will be traveling to California for the first time. Other than car rental... What other transportation would be feasible from the Santa Barbara Airport to Carpinteria Ave. in the Carpinteria South area, located about 20 miles away? Is there public transportation? How much would taxi service cost?

I do an Internet search for "name of city I'm interested in" "mass transit" When I did so with "santa barbara" "mass transit" I found this URL within thirty seconds: www.sbmtd.gov Which gives these maps: www.sbmtd.gov/GRAPHIC%20ELEMENTS/Maps/System%20Map%202007/Goleta.jpg www.sbmtd.gov/GRAPHIC%20ELEMENTS/Maps/System%20Map%202007/Montecito.jpg These maps will tell you what buses to ride to get from the SB Airport to Carpinteria.
