I was wondering if anyone has been on either of these tours and could tell me which one would be better: Red Ape Encounter's Discovery tour redapeencounters.com/rae_pac... or Sepilok Resort's Primate tour sepilokjungleresort.com/Tour... At the moment we can only do a max 3 day tour. tarzana
I've met one of the owners of the Red Ape tours and they are quite concerned for the local population and have helped them out with payments for letting tourists stay with them for an 'authentic' feel. So not all teh profits disappear away from the locals (though how much stays with them is anyone's guess). I didn't do the tour though because I couldn't afford it at the time, and plus it was the wet season.
