I will be arriving at SAL in the evening, and want to know the options for getting into San Salvador (specifically the Instituto Nacional de Deportes) - what are approx. taxi costs? Is there a bus service into a city terminal?
You will find many taxi drivers waiting at the airport. They usually charge about20 USD to drive you from the airport to san salvador. They are usually at the airport until about 8:30 p.m. There is public transportation that will drive you from the airport to downtown san salvador, it will cost you about5 USD. I recommend going with the taxi.

Do not go with public transportation. Taxi is better! Another alternative could be a hotel shuttle from Holiday Inn, Marriot, Intercontinental, etc. Shuttles have international standard. In this case you should contact the hotel first for reservation
