    • Transportation and Spanish schools?

by ladki Online Now Jun 29, 2014 at 1:10 PM

      Hi there!
I'm planning on spending August studying Spanish in Guatemala, ideally at la Coopertiva (but open to suggestions). I know next to no Spanish and will be a solo female traveller, so I'm a bit concerned about getting there alone. My two questions are:

      1) What's the safest way to get there from the airport for someone who can't speak Spanish (yet)?
      2) If anyone has taken classes at La Coopertiva or another Spanish school in San Pedro, would you be willing to chat one on one about your experience?

      Thanks!

    • how does one get there from guatemala city?

by vdawg Online Now Mar 9, 2009 at 7:58 PM

      hi!

any recommendations on how one gets grom the guatemala city aurora airport, to san pedro?

i've read some vague mentionings of minibuses costing around10. could someone please give me some more specific information?

can you get a mini bus to san pedro from the aurora airport?
if not, where in guatemala city do you have to go to get it?

what are the most recommended minibus companies?

i am a female travelling alone, i want to feel safe.

anybody familiar with don juan's minibus service? his website states that his bus seats 10 people, but he charges a flat rate of125 per trip, no matter how many people are in the bus. does anyone know if this bus fills up?

i would greatly appreciate any advice!

      thanks,
