Is it possible to travel to or from San Marino from Florence?
Hi by train you should do: Florence- Bologna and then take a train to Rimini where you should take a bus to San Marino, it's definitly not a day trip. For train schedules you can check: www.trenitalia.it Corra

Yep, as Corra says, it's a train/bus combo. I tried looking briefly for a long-distance direct bus but didn't find anything....in any case, getting to Rimini by train then taking the bus is the "usual" way of doing it ;-) (no, there is no train connection to San Marino itself). Bill

Thanks for your help. I was sure I read somewhere once that you could get a direct bus from Florence, but now I can't find any such info.
