Hi there, Tom and I will be in San Jose 15-30Aug, staying at the Crowne Plaza, Sillicon Valley. While he slaves through meetings after meeting during the day, I'd like to be visiting SF. The hotel provides complimentary train station shuttle - Milpitas Light Rail. How do I get from Milpitas Light Rail to SF? Thank you for your suggestions. God Bless, Karan
Yes, caltrain definitely. Take Lightrail to Mountain View at Castro street, and change to caltrain. Caltrain only runs during weekdays -- it is under construction during wkends these days. The fare is about5.00 one way the last time I checked. Have fun.

Thanks dude! That's what I'll do during the weekdays. I guess it'd take about an hour odd to get from Mountain View to 4th Street SF. Is there any special 2 week pass for travel on Caltrains?

No pass - not that I know off. You can buy tickets at the station vending mahcine if you get there a few mins early. The cost will be 50c more on the train.
