Any ideas of where to get last minute tickets to Alcatraz tickets??
Having lived in the vacinity for 35 years I've always just walked to the pier and got a ticket but if you're talking about this summer and now, then I'd try sites like alcatraztrips.com/index2.asp... http://www.alcatraztickets.com/ I don't subscribe to the Hype of "you must have it now" but the cruise tickets do book fast especially in the summer. BTW... for dining, just across the street from the terminal is a great walk in restaurant. Used to be called Houstons but the parent company has changed the name. Also just a block away is the Fog Street Diner which is also good. Much better than the tourist locations on "Fisherman's Wharf."

Is it better to book online for October or November? or just walk up and buy it right there? thanks.

YOur timing is probably pretty good with walk up. Although I'd check online as there can be a bit of torists in Oct.
