We travelled around for 4 weeks and have some camping stuff we dont need anymore, like: - 2 camping chairs - 1 cooling box with 2 cooling elements - 1 gaslamp with 1 coleman propane gas bottle - a used pan If you need it we could meet us at San Francisco Airport SFO on friday afternoon July 13th 2012 or saturday morning July 14th.
This question was posted before: the suggestion was to donate it to the nearest Goodwill or try to sell it to other campers towards the end of the trip.

Two charities to donate to if you are in San Francisco is Salvation Army of San Francisco at 1515 Valenica Street (415) 401-0698 or Goodwill Industries of Daly City at 7420 Mission Street (650) 985-2300. These items would no doubt sell very quickly and would help their respective charities.

Just leave it with Claus' bicycle. He's left one out there somewhere I'm sure.

Good one TK!

hehe....I would be a little concerned about their used pan too. Or meeting them at the airport and trading off the propane bottle while security is watching.

Take it easy folks...it sounds like these people are looking to give them to a fellow traveler. We could at least try to figure out if that's the intention before jumping down their throats.

You're right G. It's just late in the day and I'm feeling a little punch-ee.

I've been looking about for some used sporting goods shops in the SF area in case our OP is trying to re-sell rather than give away (not sure what the goal is here) but I'm coming up pretty empty. Maybe one of our locals knows? Or, if the goal is just to unload the stuff, do we have a local member who is connected with a scout troop or other youth group?

There are 3 Play It Again Sports shops in the SF area that would buy some of this.

I looked at those, Rich, but most of them seemed to be fairly far out.

But obviously if they camped they were out somewhere away from SF and have to get to the airport via car with their equipment I would think.

Thank you guys for your answers. We gave our stuff to the salvation army, thanks for the info. And you dont have to be concerned anymore that we trade any propane gas bottles at the airport! ;-)
