Im trying to cycle from Chile to Bariloche and then on to Tierra del Fuego. Does the road from Osorno take you thru Pto Montt? Can the lake crossing be done by bicycle? Thanx Luis
the road from osorno can take you to pto montt if you want it to but it will not be on your way to bariloche. i'd immagine that they can take your bike on the lake crossing but you'd have to find out for sure. although i think that you'll probably enjoy the trip by bike equally than by boat. if you don't want to bike all the way to puerto montt to do the Cruce del Lago, you can start in Puerto Varas where they also have a pick-up.
