Hi all, Well in the planning stages for the last sector of our round the world trip - South America. All very exciting and all very daunting! It's so big....LOL. At the moment I researched and got us as far as Bariloche, from here we want to head south to El Calafate, the month will be July/early August - winter of course. I found a tour that went down but only in summer, Aerolineas are quite expensive to fly and dont fly direct until the middle of August. So, buses - maybe take a bus to Comodoro Rivadavia and another onwards? Has anyone any recommendations? Done this trip in winter? Have any other suggestions? I have tryed looking at viabariloche and andesmar without any luck! We are short on time and money for this trip!Any idea of timetables and bus fares ? Many thanks in advance Ali x
I think you will have to travel by regular bus, but to be honest don't know the winter schedules. a. Bariloche > Puerto Madryn > Rio Gallegos > El Calafate ( takes about 34 hours/costs about 110 USD) b. Bariloche > Comodoro Rivadavia > Rio Gallegos > El Calafate ( takes about 30 hours/ costs about 100 USD) See for more info: www.donotto.com.ar / www.andesmar.com.ar / www.turismo.elcalafate.gov.ar (Transportes - Terrestres) happy travels Jaap
