Hi! My Mom and I will be in Salta for 6 days. We would like to move around and possibly get a tour guide for a few days. Can anyone recommend a reliable, English speaking tour guide? Also, what are your "must see" in Salta? Cheers, from New York, USA
Well. I know one in Buenos Aires who is really good, but not in Salta. So, I am going to give you a link to a Trip Advisor forum thread discussing Salta guides, and there appear to be several ernthusiastic responses regarding a lady named Giena. tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g3... Here is also our very own travel guide to Salta. Enjoy. tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g3... Just FYI, Virtual Tourist is a part of Trip Advisor, but more personal and a bit friendlier.......d:o)

do not worry, you'll find good guides speaking in English, just have a walk around the beautiful Plaza 9 de Julio and you find quite a few incoming tour operators with plenty excursions to offer

I went with Movitrack, guides all spoke fluent English. I'm sure any of the major groups there will have someone that speaks good english, i wouldn't worry too much.
