Me and my girlfriend are visiting Stockholm in late August for 7 days, for holidays.
I have a couple of questions regarding the city's safety and I would be really grateful if you could help me out :
a) How safe is the Stockholm T-Bana (Stockholm Metro) ? Is it safe even at night, e.g. 11.00 pm ?
b) Are there any areas in Stockholm that we should avoid, when we look for a place to stay?
c) What do you think of the Riksby district? From what I've seen it's a bit far from the city center, but we have found a rather cheap apartment for rent there, close to a Metro station - but I don't know much about that district, so I could really use any info regarding its safety of if its distance from the center wouldn't be much of a hassle to us.
I would really like to thank you in advance for your assistance!
I need somewhere, not too far from the station (2km, preferably walking distance).
I had located Weiner Konditoriet but I am concerned that with their remodelling to Weiner Cafeet that they are dropping stuff like massive seafood sandwhich-cum-gateaux creations.
I have mailed them but no response. Does anyone know if
a) Weiner are just having makeover, the stuff is the same and I will be able to call them a few days before and order 3 or 4 of these
b) somewhere else. We get in at 06:30 and leave 08:21
Does it make sense to make a day trip to Fjäderholmarna?
They say there is a beach - anyone been there? What else is there to see? I mean, I read the discription - but has anyone been there and can say that's really worth it?
Or is is better to take their archipelago cruise?
Has anyone taken lunch / brunch cruises?
I am planning some sort of a cruise, - don't know which - maybe two, it's good to spare yur feet
I have an SL Access Card from my previous Stockholm visit – a pretty old one, from January 2011.
How do I arrange sort of Pay-as-you-go? I do not know when I will need to take a bus, but having to run and find a ticket booth somewhere doesn’t look very encouraging.
Is there any wiser way?
Thanks in advance!
Need advice urgently

Is this thinkable??
I guess I am now the guest of the royal house, am I not? They must stand for the honour of their country, mustn't they?
SKIING in Sälen, Sweden Hi all, We are an Irish couple heading to Sweden in a couple of wks and have a few questions that we were wondering maybe someone could help us out with. We fly to Stockholm on the 4th of February. Kind of last minute notion we got in our heads.... TRANSPORT 1. We hope to take the bus/train to Falun. Is there a bus from Falun to Sälen? 2. Or is it necessary to go all the way up to Mora or Malung to get the transfer? 3. Bus/train? Which is cheaper? Can we get tickets when we arrive in Stockholm or should we book before? 4. Is it possible to rent a car in Falun/Mora/Malung to drive and drop-off in Oslo where we plan to spend a couple of days also? Can you recommend any car rental places? (It seemed from www.sj.se there are no trains to Oslo at all on those days... so car rental a possibilty...) ACCOMODATION 5. Is it possible to book for just 3 nights (e.g Sun, Mon, Tues) in the Sälen ski resort or do we have to pay for the full “short week” (Sun - Thurs)? 6. What is the best/cheapest hotel/cabin/holiday village? (We are 2 people) SKIING 8. Can we get a Ski-pass when we arrive or should we book it before? 9. Likewise for Ski-hire... 10. Likewise for Ski-lessons... Thanks a million!!!
