      Is there any evidence that Charles de Gaulle spent time in St. Pierre during WWII? Someone suggested to me that he left St. Pierre, stayed in the town of Terrenceville, Newfoundland, Canada en route to a warship in Argentia, NL where Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill signed the Atlantic Charter in 1941.

      we went there years ago and had a memorable experience. We are looking for authentic cuisine and mayeb a table d'hote affair. We want to experience french cuisine but not just a 30 minute tghing..maybe a set price with menu choices...last time we had a 5 or 6 course with 5 choices per course. Stayed there for about 4 hours. Can you help us with suggestions or menus...
