Can anyone give me some information on camp sites in SP? I'm looking for it in www as well as in my guide book and I can't find anything. I don't believe that there is no possibillity to sleep in tent in SP in early July. Any camp site, camping or just a hotel close to which I can set my tent? Can anybody help me?
Adam, take a look at this one: http://petersburg-camping.com/ And you just might try posting a notice in couchsurfing.org? I just looked and they have a lot of members from SP - one of them might have some yard space.

Thank's for your answer. I know this site - unfortunately this camping isn't excatly in SP but "close" to it. I'm afraid it would take too long to get there from the city and back - especially because I'm staying in SP only for 2 days. That's why I'm looking for something closer to the city - not necesarily in the centre (I know it may be impossible) but closer than that camping, indicated by you. When it comes to couchsurfing, there is a problem - as far as I know, to use it you have to offer place in your house. I live in a rented house and I can't invite too many people, espiecially unknown - my londlord may be upset. But thanks for your answer.

No, you do not have to offer your own house to use couchsurfing. Anyone can use it (although there is now a fee to do so...you can look for free though). There is no requirement for reciprocal offering of a 'couch'. So I suggest you explore that site, and maybe post a request for tent-space if it is possible to do so.

This camp site is located between Petergof and Lomonosov (surburbs). These surburbs are located in the administrative boundaries of St. Petersburg but Martyshkino itself (where the camping is located) is not a part of St.Petersburg. I think it takes 1,5 hours to the city center by public transport.

Czheść Adam! Frankly speaking I can’t image such camp in modern Russia. But I have 2 ideas: -try to find any budgetary hostel for 2 days, it’ll be the best way; -try to ask in Polish Internet where Polish truck drivers lives in Piter. Do you speak Russian? Good luck!
