Hi Anna s, depends on how much you want to spend. From my experience online, it's hard to find cheap decent accommodation. For the most part it's either cheap or decent. But you might want to check out www.rentroom.ru. They are opening a new mini-hotel on Sennaya ploschad that is a little more comfortable than their basic one that you'll see on that website. Their new site is not running pictures of the new mini-hotel, but they have some info on it. It is run either by a German or by a Swiss guy. Very friendly and helpful, efficient and eager to get clients. I contacted him from this www.rentroom.ru, and he sent me pictures of the new facility and all the info very quickly. Good luck, Olga

Let me know what you think. He has rooms with facilities en suite and shared. So there should be a range of prices. Since they haven't opened the new mini-hotel officially yet, he is very eager to find clients and will offer discounts.Breakfast is included (albeit simple). 200 meters to Sennaya Ploschad subway station.

Also check out the www.inyourpocket.com and hostelworld.com. I know someone that found a hostel bed for 290 roubles.
