Last visit in StP I visited only low-cost chain Chainaya Lozhka (Tea spoon), it is widely located around the city. Besides by chance I was here: http://www.stolle.ru/en/spb/menu.html

I can't remember if we ate at this chain in Moscow or St. Petersburg but Yolki Palki is a good value. You fill up your tray and then go find a place to sit, the food is great and freshly made plus it's very inexpensive

Menu there is diverse, you can choose some quite mid-priced dishes, but they will be delicious!

My favorite restaurant is "Тепло" Teplo. For tourist it will be interesting visit restaurant "Podvorie" Подворье, it is in Pavlovsk, near with Saint-Petersburg.

Hi! To look for restaurants in Saint Petersburg is a big adventure, there is so many so depends on your taste. The most interesting for me was a little restaurant which belongs to a monastery, it looks very nice, they have traditional food and is really cheap. This one belongs to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in the Leytenanta Schmidta street, just next to the Neva, at Vassilievsky island. They have a webpage, where mention something about their farms (they grown their own food) take a look http://rp-c.ru/information.php?id=1 and also don't miss the singing chorus (as in any ortodox church) at 6 pm, is amazing!
